Nick Straker Since the demise of the Nick Straker Band I've worked mostly with Linton Kwesi Johnson and the Dennis Bovell Dub Band, recording and touring extensively with both artists. I've also written songs for Jellybean, Taylor Dayne and Degrees of Motion etc. Most recently I've been writing, producing and remixing with Eagle E and Doc B and also working with my old haggis brandishing, celtic/Polish mate
from the NSB, Andy McEdit.

This Website, however, is devoted to the mainly instrumental material that I've been working on recently with the following talented artists: -

Steve Gregory

This guy's CV reads like a Who's Who of music legends: -

The Rolling Stones ("Honky Tonk Woman"), Van Morrison, Screaming Jay Hawkins, Georgie Fame, Fleetwood Mac, Gino Washington, Ginger Baker's Airforce, Gonzalez, Fela Kuti, Queen, etc. etc. etc. He also played the famous Sax line on George Michael's "Careless Whisper". Check out his album "Bushfire" on LKJ Records.

Winston Francis

Another legend, this time in the field of Rock Steady and Reggae, Winston first made a name for himself in Jamaica with his album "Mr. Fixit Man" produced by Clement Dodd (Sir Coxson). He went on to work with other notable artists and producers and recently his song "Mr. Fixit" was covered by UB40. His vocal style can be as velvety smooth as Nat King Cole or as soulful as Sam Cooke, yet it remains distinctive and instantly recognisable. His album "Sweet Rock Steady" is also on LKJ Records.

These tracks were recorded at home using Emu systems, and overdubbed at Paul Blake's Studio and Mark Angelo Recording Studio. For track listings and details of how to listen to them for free at myspace.com click here.
